Application of oregano oil in treating toenail fungus

Wild oregano oil uses a compound called carvacrol to treat bacteria and fungus as carvacrol has high potency to fight with diseases and even the toughest of infections. Practically, concentrated or pure  oregano oil is very strong and is not advised to be used in its pure form or else it might create skin irritation on the area it is applied. No matter if you are using the oil orally or applying it on the skin, it must be diluted with other essential oil to reduce its strongness.

When it comes to treating toenail fungus, oregano oil must be applied to the toenail frequently so that the fungus present on the surface of the skin gets completely removed. One thing which you must note down here is that you must never dilute oregano oil with water as it is not recommended. Are there any side effects of oregano oil?

Oregano oil is extracted from a herb called oregano which is found in nature in abundance in mediterrainian, Asia and Europe and belongs to the mint family. Anything that is used for healthcare benefits and is found in nature does not have any side effects. Similarly, oregano oil does not have any side effects directly either. But, there might be people who are allergic to the mint family plants and they should avoid using oregano oil.
